Melissa Wiederrecht is an American generative artist who has lived and worked in
Makkah, Saudi Arabia for the past decade. She has been making generative art for
over twenty years and calls her work a “precise blur”: built entirely from exact
mathematical systems she writes herself, reaching for ambiguity, texture, and
in-betweenness. Her work has been exhibited at the United Nations Headquarters,
the Museum of the Moving Image, Gucci Art Space, Art Dubai, Art Blocks, and
Feral File, among others.
